The psychomotor plays an important role in infant education and development. There is a great interdependence between motor development, emotional and intellectual abilities.
Children up to the age of five are basically in an evolutionary motor perception, which organizes their world through their subjective perceptions being their own body the easiest canal for the knowledge acquisition.
What is the early stimulation?
During the first years of life the brain develops quicker than during any other stage. Up to the age of six the brain possesses a plasticity that is later lost, therefore, it’s in these ages when they are very receptive to create neuronal connections.
The “Bits of Intelligence” stimulate the mental capacity of the child and creates a base for future knowledge. The bits have been designed to help children discover the aspects of the reality that they normally don’t have close and help expand their infant horizons..
They help to open up fields of knowledge and encourage their curiosity to learn, to facilitate neuronal connections and consolidate their communication system.
What are the “Bits of Intelligence”?
The Bits of Intelligence are flashcards with photographs that offers the child an accurate information about different topics. The interesting fact is that they represent realities that until now they are unknown to the children. All the data and information that children store during their early years of life will form the bases where in the future their knowledge will be set. Therefore it’s important to create a solid base.
What do we expect to achieve with the “Bits”?

Early Stimulation Programme
IIn our schools we use the stimulation programme called: “Grow Learning” using “Bits of Intelligence” and it is carried out daily by the teachers during the school’s programme. The main purpose of this programme is to encourage the child’s learning skills, increasing their intelligence maintaining their innate motivation and desire to learn as well as increase their self-esteem.
In our schools we give a special importance to the music because in the Infant Education, music is more than just singing songs. It involves rhythmic and auditory education. Music helps develop creativity, expressing feelings and emotions.
Music promotes sensorial development, motor, emotional, mental, intuitive and creative skills, working to improve their language, contributes the to correct order of psychomotor development and imagination. Other benefits include improved concentration and mathematical abilities as well as relationships with classmates and helps them recognize the environment around them. Children gain pleasure from this as well as calming and relaxation, enabling games to be fun, awakening the curiosity of the children.
The use of the body movement in music is used as a way of sensitivity expression, visual and auditory.
Our music teacher Ruben; musician, singer and a professional guitar player comes to our schools once a week and sings nursery rhymes, making us dance to the rhythm of the music with his Spanish guitar. Children love it!!!
Doing psychomotricity activity, we help the Nervous System mature correctly, to build up and strengthen neuronal circuits.
“The more opportunities we give a child to move the more they will benefit the global development of their intelligence and put in a more solid base for their future learnings.
On the other hand, when the child acquires movement skills, he/she experiments the control, self-esteem, etc... This encourages and improves their emotional balance and very importantly benefits their communicational skills with others.
In our schools each group has weekly psychomotor classes, both fine and gross motor skills, depending on their ages, carried out through games and other activities focused on working, developing and improving the pupils’ skills:
